Spouses and Partners
February 11, 2013 @ 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Old Worthington Library
820 High Street
Worthington, OH 43085
Adoption impacts all of our relationships. For February’s General Adoption Support & Discussion Meeting, we’ll discuss how adoption effects our relationships with spouses and partners – current, past and future. Spouses and partners are especially encouraged to attend!
- How has adoption shaped our hopes and expectations in intimate relationships?
- How do we find adoption support if a spouse or partner is unable or unwilling to understand our challenges? How do we support our partners?
- What would we like to see change in our relationships with a spouse or partner around adoption?
We hope you will join us to network, share stories and offer perspectives these important questions. This meeting is open to all!
What makes the All Adoption group unique is that we welcome and encourage attendance from birth family members, adoptive family members and adoptees. This includes sisters, brothers, grandparents, aunts, friends and loved ones as well as professionals involved in or interested in learning more about adoption. We believe that we benefit from sharing our diverse points of view and that together we can build a more inclusive understanding of the adoption experience.
Our meetings are generally on the 2nd Monday of each month at the Old Worthington Library from 7pm to 9pm but I encourage you to subscribe to the Ohio Birthparent Group newsletter to get regular reminders about upcoming meetings.
